A Little Bit About Me
I am the newest member of Mediterranean Homes and am privileged to be a part of such a professional team.
Born in the Netherlands but immigrating to California as a child and moving back to Europe as an adult, learning new languages and discovering new cultures became natural.
During my adult life, I sailed to many places along the Pacific Ocean, the islands of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
I fell in love with Andalusia more than 25 years ago when visiting the breeder of my Spanish horse. In 2018, I moved permanently to the quaint town of Alhaurin el Grande, finding a beautiful finca offering country life yet remaining close to all amenities.
The Costa del Sol reminds me so much of Southern California but at a slower pace and with an abundance of culture and activities to enjoy.
In my spare time, I enjoy riding my horse, Poderoso, and discovering new local places of interest and restaurants with friends.
Since working for Mediterranean Homes, I have been able to use the languages I learned as a child almost on a daily basis. I can communicate to Dutch, French, and German clients in their own language to make sure they feel comfortable and well-informed when buying a home through us.

As a property consultant at Mediterranean Homes, you want to help your clients the best you can and part of that is getting to know them, giving them the feeling they are in the best of hands. I love meeting people and helping with all their questions. Knowing I have a very experienced team behind me makes me confident that I can always find the answers to their questions. My language skills also help when clients prefer to communicate in their own language.
The Costa del Sol has so much to offer for every lifestyle. From the lively coastal towns to the slower pace with picturesque villages a short drive inland. Cities such as Granada, Seville and Cordoba are a few hour's drive away. Having an International Airport in Malaga makes the rest of the world close, too. Since I love travelling, Costa del Sol has it all!
I love Asian food, my mother was born in Java, Indonesia. So Indonesian food is my favorite, the food I grew up with.
My perfect home on the Costa del Sol is a small country property not more than 40 minutes from the coast and Airport. Close to a town like Alhaurin el Grande or Coín where everything is available and has good restaurants.
Thank you Kelly and the whole team at Mediterranean homes for being on our side while finding our home in the sun. You always had in mind what we were looking for so all your proposals were individual selections and worth to have a look at. It never was a waste of time for anybody especially for us in times when travelling wasn't that easy. Our demands were high but you never gave up and finally we found the right one.
