"Touch of Kindness Campaign"
We are excited to share news about a heartfelt initiative we've undertaken here at Mediterranean Homes Estate Agent in Coín.
Introducing our "Touch of Kindness Campaign" where we are dedicated to donating Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to local establishments. We believe that by bringing life-saving technology closer to home, we can create a safer environment for everyone. - Kelly Summerell (Director)
Why AEDs?
Sudden cardiac arrests can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Having an AED on-site significantly increases the chances of saving lives during these critical moments. We believe It's a small investment that yields immeasurable returns in the form of community safety and well-being.
Our Progress:
Earlier this year (March 27 and 28) we organised training sessions at the Colegio Nuestra Señora de Lourdes to teach five members of staff how to use a defibrillator, which we had installed at the school.
Today we are proud to announce that we've installed our second AED machine at Afacoal - Asociación de Alzheimer de Coín. As covered by CANAL COIN TELEVISIÓN recently.
Afacoal has been a beacon of hope, providing advice, raising awareness, and offering support to approximately 600 patients and 1,100 family members affected by Alzheimer's and dementia. With 22 people currently under their care and 4 specialists employed, Afacoal's work extends from psycho-stimulation techniques to individual and group psychological therapies for families and caregivers.

Witnessing the positive impact on the community has reinforced our commitment to this campaign with a third installation scheduled for Huertas Viejas Primary School on November 27th at 16:00, with the unveiling ceremony the next day. This proactive measure by Mediterranean Homes ensures that the youngest members of the community and their educators have the protection they deserve.
