Meet the Mediterranean Homes Team...
Firstly there's myself, Kelly Summerell. I am the owner of Mediterranean Homes. I opened my business in January 2019; although I have been working in the real estate industry in Spain since 2007. I moved to Spain in 1991 with my family.
I am married, my husband is Spanish, and we have a baby boy, Leo. My husband helps us with many technical sides of the business as he’s an engineer and can help us in many aspects, but he runs his own business. As you can imagine, we are both very busy with our own careers and don’t have much free time. But we enjoy spending all the time we can with Leo.
I run the business with my brother, Tyler. He is a professional Property Consultant and helps with after sales services as he comes from a construction/garden landscaping background.
As you can imagine, having lived here for so long we have all the contacts required to help any of our clients with any work that may be required on their new home. We are both bilingual as we have lived here for 30+ years... yes, a long time!
Tyler usually spends his free time on two wheels, either on a motorbike or a mountain bike. He has pretty much traveled all over Europe on two wheels.
Our colleague, David, joined the company at the beginning of 2021. David is the Sales Manager. He also comes from a Real Estate background in the UK and has lots of knowledge too in this industry and has helped us grow our business over the last few years.
I met David in 2020 as he was a client of ours and bought a home through us without his wife even seeing it! His wife and two daughters moved to Spain shortly afterwards and live in a lovely, detached villa in Coín.
David and his family spend most of their free time outdoors; hiking, cycling and rock climbing.
Eva, our office manager is Spanish but speaks VERY good English. She joined the team at the beginning of 2022. Everyone loves Eva. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and very organised.
Eva is usually the first point of contact within the company for all of the clients. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and hiking with her Husky (Finny).
And finally, our colleague Mario. He is the man behind the camera, the one that stages our homes and makes them all look even more beautiful! He does all our property photo shoots including drone photography and 3D Matterport virtual tours.
Mario’s background was in the filming industry. He has filmed many movies, and commercials and worked for many Netflix series, however, he was also looking for more stability and joined the team a few years ago. He is a close friend of Tyler’s and also spends a lot of his free time on two wheels.
Questions and Answers with Kelly
I can honestly say we all enjoy what we do, and we have a great time together. We enjoy our roles and the challenges that come with them.
I like helping people find their dream homes or helping them sell their homes. For most people, it can usually be a very stressful experience when buying or selling a home and everything involved in the process along the way. I sincerely enjoy holding their hands from start to finish to try and make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
