Tyler Summerell is the owner co-owner of Mediterranean Homes SL estate agents on the Costa del Sol specialising in rural and hard-to-sell properties.

1. How long have you lived on the Costa del Sol for?
I moved to Spain with my sister Kelly and my parents from the UK back in 1991, I was 4 years old.

2. What made you want to open a business on the Costa del Sol?
My father was a Golf Course Superintendent when we moved to Spain, he then moved on and opened his own landscaping company which I eventually took over on 2007 and followed that career until 2019, I then sold the company and now supervise it as I decided to join Mediterranean Homes with my sister.

3. What’s the best thing about the Costa del Sol as a place to live in your opinion?
The lifestyle, the weather, the people, and the delicious healthy food!

4. Give us a brief description of what you get up to on your usual working day.
My days are always busy as I work full-time at Mediterranean Homes as a sales agent and also supervise my landscaping business.

5. How has business been for you in the past two years?
Fantastic! I’m fortunate, I am always very busy meeting clients from all over the world and helping them find their dream homes in Spain.

6. How do you enjoy spending your weekends and free time?
I have been a bike rider since a very young age, and as the weather is predictable, I travel a lot when I can and go off on my bike, I currently have a BMW 1250 GS-Adventure and it’s a really fun bike to travel. I have travelled all over Europe on my BMW. I also cycle quite a lot too.

7. If you could be in charge of any other business here on the Costa del Sol for a day, which would it be and why?
If I’m honest I cannot see myself doing anything else, I’m an outdoor person and I enjoy what I do, I like meeting new people and I enjoy the challenges of real estate.

8. What's your favourite food?
I enjoy eating very much and we have some fabulous restaurants, but I’m definitely a meat eater, nothing better than a good steak with a good bottle of red!

9. Describe what your perfect home on the Costa del Sol would be like and where it would be.
I’ve always lived in the country, I don’t need anything fancy, something small and nice in the countryside where I can cycle and go off on my bike in my free time.

10.Who would be your perfect dinner guest?
I’d happily have dinner with any TT or GP racer. And I’d definitely go out for dinner with Halle Berry any day of the week!
